Well.. Sounds stunning... face off... who doesn’t wants to go abroad for higher studies... but if you are a doctor then do check the credentials, they are no more valid and authorized in UK...
Off course the first question is that why is this, is the quality of Indian Doctors is so poor...but on the other hand we have examples of Baby Noor... coming all the way from Pakistan to Bangalore for surgery... isn’t it a paradox... then rather questioning and cribbing about the issue I think we should take a look at the current scenario in India.
The All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is considered one of the best medical colleges in India, but it's a sad fact that 60 per cent of MBBS students here, fly off to the US, UK and Australia for higher studies or jobs.
But perhaps the reason why they leave India is more absurd or sadder...
In countries like US or UK super specialization is available... if we take a look at India, many colleges either don’t provide super specialization or they only have a limited number of seats which I believe can only be bought at a rate which is around or over 50 lakh rupees. I may be incorrect with the exact amount but the sad part is that even those limited seats are sold and only few are offered on merit.
Secondly, there is a problem of specializing and working with a government hospital that they have to work for a fixed period of time with the institution and also the fact that the salary is very low... When there is abundant opportunity why will someone only be interested in the fixed monthly salary...
The paradox is... dearth of opportunities and abundant demand of talent...
And we curse UK... Duh...rather than cursing UK for not recognizing the degree we should ask our government to revisit the existing scenario and upgrade it to the level where these doctors can pursue higher studies in India only...And don’t have to migrate abroad…one simple reason…we need them at home !!

Well I can do nothing else but fully agree with u on dis irony tat we r facing. Unfortunatly our biggest strenght of human resources have become our bigest weakness in dis particular case. It is the perfect case of huge demand and less supply. Definitly we cant accept dis as an excuse and cant do anything abt it. i think govt should look after it and sort out dis problem by creating more supply(seats in medical colleges).

gud job...i too agree that improvements in facilities and evrthng is required but more thana that in this particular case..it is not that the doctors r bad...but it is teh insecurity among britishers that had lead to this case..

but we cant just create more coll's or increase seats ...
coz we dont have the faculty to teach in these coll's ...
it s a huge thing, we need to review education policy on the whole ..
lotsa loopholes, this being 1 of them
so sir you have bought the subject again the brain drain...now i agree with you in lack of facility and all those things about specialisation...etc but let me tell you you know what goverment is charging in fees...as good as nothing... s dont u think they have some duty toward society and tell me if no such restriction is placed wht will happen in backward areas..and than why we everytime curse govt when most of the time we dont choose our representative.... think how many time before voting(if we did vote)tried to kow who is the candidate....
